Really and truly I wanted to have posted a drawing for Halloween this year, but due to so many delays, procrastination, and other problems, I just never got it made. I even had an idea of what I wanted to draw, but I just couldn’t find a way to get myself started on it, and next I look, I’m out of time. I still want to draw that image, but it obviously won’t be for Halloween like I had wanted. -_-
What is worse, I STILL haven’t finished the image descriptions for the previous 2 drawings I posted, NOR have I gotten a Journal nor images posted for Maneki Nekn Con 2, nor anything from my birthday, since I actually got to spend the day with Ciara (~toxsickk). It really sucks feeling so behind on everything, and I really had wanted to post things to this account in ORDER compared to the previous account. :/
Oh well, nothing to do but get at least the previous photo and this one, posted in time for Halloween…however, due to the stupid internet at my house, with this lousy rainy weather, (“…wettest Halloween in Chicago in 19 years”) not working, I’ve had to post this from Ciara’s house from her laptop.
As you can all tell, I’m still into Minecraft; probably more so than even last year, and so I attempted the actual Pumpkin/Jack O’ Lantern from the 3D block game. Even though I would have rather had a rounder pumpkin for this carving choice, I had to take what my older brother had, when he used my bigger pumpkin for his carving.
Nevertheless, I tried something new this year; for the very first time, (in order to achiever the proper Minecraft pixel appearance) I took a pocket knife and actually cut out about a 3/8 inch layer of the skin, next to the full-through carved holes, to add the lighter colored layer around the eyes and mouth.
The “Minecraft Wall Torch” is a gift I went “halvies” on, when Ciara and I went to that “Hot Topic” store on my actual birthday; I can explain more about it later IF I ever get a journal and/or photos posted. -.-;
Image Creation Description
In order to show the pumpkin both with and without a candle, I had to do some combining in PSE7:

Opened a new, resized file
Positioned each cropped photo down to the pixel
Placed a Marble & Green Tone filters on the background layer
Duplicated each photo layer and placed them beneath the primaries
Placed a Wow-Neon Red & Simple halo to the duplicate layers
Placed a Chrome-Fat, Bevel, and Wow-Neon Red borders/halo on the BG layer
